Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Blending Operator I for the Day shift at our Dallas, TX facility. You will blend PVC compounds per formulas, read schedules, and support extrusion.

The role requires safe forklift operation, inventory accuracy, and collaboration with maintenance and purchasing to sustain production. The ideal candidate has extrusion experience or quick learning ability, strong math skills, and a robust commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with extrusion or ability to learn PVC extrusion operations.
• Strong math and counting skills.
• Attention to detail, time management and organization.
• Mechanical aptitude for maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret the production schedule to plan blending and storage requirements.
• Estimate compound needs to support extrusion and route materials efficiently.
• Adjust blender controls and hoses to ensure proper daily inventory blending.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials to blender area scales and warehouse.
• Communicate daily with Maintenance, Production, Accounting, and Purchasing.
• Perform maintenance and cleanup for blending and storage areas.
• Assist with monthly raw material inventory and monitor usage.
