Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Photovoltaic Field Technician in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on maintaining performance of PV projects, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with the O&M Manager for corrective actions.

Travel up to 90% is possible; candidate must be a certified electrician and able to lift heavy equipment, work outdoors, and abide by NEC/NFPA70/OSHA 30 safety standards. Excellent field-record keeping is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a State Certified Electrician Inside Wireman Journeyman.
• 5–7 years of experience; PV design, installation and/or maintenance preferred.
• Collaborative and communicative: works with PV O&M manager on daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PV project performance; respond to trouble tickets and document service reports.
• Develop work scopes for service work orders with subcontractors when needed.
• Perform scheduled annual preventive maintenance for PV systems.
• Use field mobile app to record field activities and maintain records.
• Review service reports and plan corrective actions with the O&M Manager.
