Job summary

MasTec is seeking a Field Commissioning Technician to inspect and test PV power plants, perform mechanical and electrical inspections, and document results. You will communicate findings to the Commissioning CM/GF and assist with troubleshooting while following safety policies.

Responsibilities include completing commissioning docs, leading other technicians, performing LOTO, and ensuring PPE and tools are properly maintained. Prior PV installation experience and OSHA 10 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; PV system training preferred.
• Three years electrical experience in Industrial or renewables; or two years as MasTec Commissioning Tech I.
• Must read electrical diagrams and operate testing equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection and testing of PV plants to specs.
• Complete commissioning documentation during inspection.
• Document issues and deliver documentation for review by CM/GF.
• Perform LOTO duties according to policies.
• Lead other Techs to ensure quality and safety.
• Support third party testing and inspections.
• Maintain PPE and tool calibration.
• Other duties as assigned.
