Job summary

PHOTOMATE seeks a Technical Support Engineer to provide remote technical support and hands-on field service for PV and BESS systems in Finland. You will diagnose faults, guide customers, and perform site visits, inspections and repairs while documenting cases and coordinating with manufacturers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in electrical engineering or energy tech, Finnish safety certification, and fluency in Finnish and English.

Qualifications

3+ years of relevant technical experience in electrical engineering, PV, BESS or related fields.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Finnish electrical safety qualification/certification required.
Experience with PV, BESS or grid-connected systems is advantageous.
Good computer skills including MS Office.
Fluent Finnish and English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel regularly within Finland.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support and manage customer service requests.
Analyze system data, alarms, logs and monitoring information to identify faults.
Diagnose electrical, electronic and system-level issues.
Guide customers through troubleshooting with clear instructions.
Plan and perform service visits across Finland.
Carry out inspections, repairs and measurements.
Support commissioning, recommissioning and system configuration.
Verify system operation after repairs and maintenance.
Cooperate with manufacturers and internal teams on complex cases.
Maintain service documentation in CRM and ticketing systems.
Take ownership of cases from report to closure.
