Job summary

Bowman Consulting is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer II to contribute to large-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage projects. This remote position supports a team of engineers and project stakeholders, delivering electrical design from concept through construction documents.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, 3+ years of PV/BESS design experience, AutoCAD expertise, and strong communication skills to collaborate with clients and teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• 3+ years electrical design experience in Solar PV and/or BESS.
• PV and energy storage system design experience required.
• NABCEP certification preferred.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD expected.
• Experience with PV system modeling software preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical plan sets, including site layouts and equipment details.
• Draft equipment layouts and single-line diagrams (AC/DC).
• Coordinate with design engineers and other disciplines.
• Produce construction documents meeting milestone schedules.
• Assist in marketing Bowman capabilities to establish clients and relationships.
• Interact with clients, vendors, and contractors to create cohesive designs.
