Job summary

Terray Therapeutics is seeking a detail-oriented Technician to join the Analytical and Purification group. You will support synthetic chemistry programs by identifying, purifying, and characterizing small-molecule compounds using LC/ SFC-MS, prep-HPLC, and related techniques, delivering high-purity materials and data back to requestors.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining analytical and preparative instrumentation, following SOPs, and enabling a fast, collaborative discovery

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with analytical and preparative scale chromatography — HPLC/UPLC and prep-HPLC.
• Working knowledge of chromatographic principles such as reverse and normal phase chromatography.
• Very strong attention to detail, sample tracking discipline, and data integrity habits.
• Ability to manage high sample throughput in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; independent and collaborative work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize analytical and preparative methods for separation, identification, and isolation of compounds using LC/SFC-MS, prep-HPLC, and flash chromatography.
• Run high-throughput analysis and characterization of crude mixtures and purified compounds with UPLC/HPLC-UV and LC-MS.
• Support walk-up/open-access LC-MS and purification service with quick turnaround.
• Track sample identity, recovery, and yield across workflows.
• Maintain calibration and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation and software with vendors as needed.
• Keep accurate, current records in paper or digital form per data integrity standards.
• Adhere to safety SOPs and operate in a clean instrument environment.
