Job summary
Iambic Therapeutics seeks an experienced Research Scientist, Purification & Analytical Sciences to advance small-molecule purification and high-throughput analytical capabilities in our San Diego drug discovery team. The role emphasizes SFC-based purification including method development, optimization, and application to diverse chemical matter.
You will collaborate with HTE and medicinal chemistry, delivering purified compounds and high-quality data for AI-driven design–make–test–learn
Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry or related field preferred; relevant experience acceptable.
- Strong hands-on purification expertise in small molecules and method development.
- Familiarity with preparative SFC and LC, including troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute small-molecule purification using SFC and LC.
- Optimize separations via stationary/mobile phase selection and gradient design.
- Support high-throughput compound QC using LC/MS and related analytics.
- Collaborate with medicinal chemistry and HTE teams to deliver purified compounds.
- Provide hands-on support for SFC, LC, and LC/MS platforms including maintenance.
- Develop automated and high-throughput workflows integrating sample handling and data management.
