Job summary

Custom Processing Services Inc. is seeking a Chemical Technician for the Reading Campus to operate chromatography columns and related equipment in a GMP environment. You will follow batch records and SOPs, prepare chemicals, monitor parameters, and document activities with precision.

The role requires attention to detail, safety focus, and the ability to work in a team on diverse purification campaigns, including setup, cleaning, and changeovers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Experience in chemical/pharma manufacturing or chromatography preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs, batch records, and written instructions.
• Ability to safely handle chemicals and process equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Team player with basic mechanical aptitude.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or able to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Operate chromatography columns and pumps per SOPs and batch docs.
• Perform column preparation, packing, loading, washing, and elution.
• Clean and sanitize columns and equipment using approved procedures.
• Monitor process parameters (pressure, flow, temp, pH, conductivity).
• Recognize abnormal conditions and escalate issues per procedures.
• Prepare process chemicals, buffers, and cleaning solutions.
• Complete batch records and logs accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper material traceability.
