Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC in Alamo, Tennessee, is seeking a Purchasing Team Leader to oversee procurement activities that support manufacturing operations and supply chain performance.

You will lead a team of buyers, develop strong supplier relationships, review contracts and purchase orders for policy compliance, and manage end-to-end procurement for materials, equipment, and services while driving cost-saving opportunities and continuous improvement across planning and inventory functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading purchasing or supply chain activities; knowledge of supplier management and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a purchasing team responsible for plant purchasing activities.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
• Review contracts and purchase orders for policy compliance.
• Manage procurement for materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Collaborate with Planning and Inventory teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
