You will guide a team of purchasing professionals, build supplier partnerships, and ensure materials and services are delivered cost-effectively and on time, aligned with business objectives. Leadership, strategic sourcing, and continuous improvement are core to this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading purchasing, procurement, or supply chain activities.
• Knowledge of supplier management, sourcing, and contract administration.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of buyers responsible for plant purchasing activities.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
• Review purchasing contracts and purchase orders to ensure policy compliance.
• Manage procurement processes for materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Partner with Planning and Inventory teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Resolve supplier concerns and support effective vendor management.
• Evaluate bids, supplier proposals, and sourcing strategies.
• Monitor market trends, purchasing performance, and departmental budgets.
