Job summary

Thomas Scientific in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a Purchasing Associate to accelerate stalled customer orders and manage inventory requirements. You will resolve issues related to purchase orders, including late deliveries, inaccuracies, and urgent needs, to improve timeliness and accuracy of open orders.

Responsibilities include running reports on open POs, coordinating with buyers, monitoring lead times, and supporting the purchasing team on projects while maintaining daily progress reports.

Qualifications

• Two years of buying/purchasing experience required.
• ERP systems and MS Office experience.
• CPP or CPIM certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve urgent purchasing requirements for Customer Service.
• Run reports on open purchase orders and prepare supplier spreadsheets.
• Monitor overdue purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with buyers to resolve SDRs and supplier issues.
• Identify products for RMA requests and update vendor scorecard data.
• Maintain reports and assist with internal purchasing requests.
