Job summary

FCX Performance is seeking a Buyer Specialist to join our team in Appleton, WI, with openings also in Columbus, OH or Romeoville, IL. You will purchase products, manage inventory levels, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, quantities, and delivery times.

In this role you will work with Epicor Prophet 21, resolve discrepancies with warehouse and invoicing, update pricing from vendor sheets, and support the Sales team with timely supplier updates and order status.

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing or procurement experience preferred.
• Attention to detail: accurate data entry skills, basic math & reading skills.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with high volume in distribution or manufacturing environments.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain system costs and inventory levels using Epicor Prophet 21 (P21)
• Investigate and resolve warehouse and invoicing discrepancies
• Work closely with accounting to resolve issues
• Update system pricing based on vendor price sheets
• Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing reports
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, lead times, delays, and product availability
• Obtain quotes from vendors/suppliers
• Provide timely updates to the Sales team regarding supplier communications and customer order status
• Perform system cleanup and maintenance of part numbers, supplier records, and related purchasing data to ensure accuracy
• Support purchasing operations to ensure product availability and data integrity
