Job summary

Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) seeks a detail-oriented Buyer for its Columbus location, a contract-to-hire role in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will manage stock and special orders, expedite shipments, and maintain ERP data with a focus on accuracy and timely communication across vendors and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has purchasing experience, strong Excel skills, and ERP familiarity (Epicor Prophet 21).

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, buying, procurement, or order expediting.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting.
• Excellent vendor communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders for stock, backorders, special orders, and direct shipments.
• Expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and communicate delays.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and pricing questions with vendors.
• Maintain purchasing data in the ERP and generate weekly reports.
• Collaborate with warehouse and internal teams to optimize fulfillment.
