Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting seeks a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to manage day-to-day purchasing activities and support vendor relationships across the business. You will research products, coordinate orders, track shipments, manage purchase orders, and ensure purchasing activity is accurate and completed efficiently.

The role is a full-time position with a compensation band of $55,000–$65,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in purchasing or related supply chain roles.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Familiarity with purchasing or ERP software.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Research products, compare pricing, and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality and reliability.
• Manage purchasing activity from requisition through delivery, including tracking orders and shipments.
• Prepare purchase orders and obtain appropriate approvals.
• Review requisitions for accuracy, including vendor information, approval dates, product quantities, and other key details.
• Communicate with internal team members regarding orders, invoices, and approvals for payment.
• Solicit bids from potential suppliers and assist with evaluating pricing and options.
• Monitor purchasing activity and forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and business requirements.
• Maintain vendor relationships and administer vendor contracts, including tracking renewals and following up as needed.
• Help identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, efficiency, and vendor relationships.

This role will be responsible for researching products, coordinating orders, tracking shipments, managing purchase orders, and ensuring purchasing activity is accurate and completed efficiently.

This is a fulltime role with a compensation band $55,000 -$65,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Research products, compare pricing, and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality and reliability

• Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors
• Knowledge of relevant products, services, and market conditions is a plus
