Job summary

Voltava is seeking an Entry-Level Purchasing Project Manager to coordinate purchasing activities across launch programs and engineering changes. You will partner with Engineering, Launch Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure timing, budgets, and objectives are met.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and build purchasing expertise while contributing to successful product launches.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or project coordination.
  • Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets (Excel or similar tools).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.

Responsibilities

  • Support purchasing activities for assigned Launch Programs, ECs, and development opportunities from start to finish.
  • Track purchasing program milestones and deadlines.
  • Assist buyers/managers with quotes, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Attend Launch Programs and EC meetings.
  • Communicate with Buyers, Launch PMs, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Identify risks and help develop solutions.
  • Keep accurate records for all Launch Programs and ECs.
  • Support process improvements in Purchasing and Project Tracking.

About The Role

We are seeking an Entry-Level Purchasing Project Manager to serve as a key point of contact for purchasing activities across assigned launch programs and engineering changes. In this role, you will partner closely with Engineering, Launch Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to coordinate and track critical purchasing deliverables, ensuring alignment with program timing, budgets, and objectives.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and organized problem-solver who can manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively across teams, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity to build project management and purchasing expertise while contributing to successful product launches.

What You Will Do
  • Support purchasing activities for assigned Launch Programs, Engineering Changes (EC’s), New Development Opportunities from start to finish
  • Track Purchasing Program milestones and deadlines
  • Assist buyers / managers with day-to-day activities (quotes, pricing, delivery schedules, etc.)
  • Attend Launch Programs, EC’s meetings
  • Communicate regularly with Buyers, Launch PM’s, Engineering, Operations, Finance teams and other cross functional teams
  • Identify risks (delays, roadblocks) and help develop solutions
  • Keep accurate records / documentation for all Launch Programs and EC’s
  • Support process improvements in Purchasing and Project Tracking
What You Need To Be Successful
  • 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or project coordination
  • Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain processes
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets (Excel or similar tools)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Internship or co-op experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Travel
  • 5-10% travel
