Job summary

Ottine Mineral Springs seeks an experienced Purchasing & Procurement Specialist to manage operational procurement across our hospitality and resort operations. You will support the rollout of a new accounting system, manage MR/PO workflows, and strengthen our procurement function with supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement with a focus on operations.
• Experience with ERP, accounting or procurement software.
• Hospitality, resort or property management experience preferred; construction purchasing a plus.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, PO/invoice reconciliation, and budgeting is a strong plus.

• Evaluate purchasing patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities; improve inventory tracking.
• Collaborate with department managers and project teams to support construction or maintenance needs.
• Participate in relevant meetings.
• Flexibly perform other duties as needed or directed.

Position

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing & Procurement Specialist to manage operational procurement across our growing hospitality and resort operations, as well as support ongoing development needs. This person will work within established processes while playing a key role in the implementation of a new accounting system — including material requisitions and purchase orders — and helping to strengthen our procurement function going forward.

Operational + implementation experience required. Construction experience a plus.

Compensation: $40,000 - $80,000 yearly

Qualifications

• Based locally in Broussard, LA, with the ability to travel monthly to Central Texas for site visits, inventory audits, and team alignment.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement, with a strong emphasis on operational procurement.
• Demonstrated comfort with system implementations and new software adoption; hands-on experience using ERP, accounting, or procurement management software.
• Hospitality, resort, or property management experience is strongly preferred; construction purchasing experience is a plus.
• Practical accounting experience or a solid understanding of cost accounting, PO/invoice reconciliation, and budgeting is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day purchasing across resort and hospitality operations, ensuring timely fulfillment of goods, services, and operational supplies while maintaining quality standards.
• Support the rollout and configuration of a new accounting system; establish standard operating procedures for material requisitions (MR) and purchase order (PO) workflows.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate competitive pricing and terms with suppliers and service providers; build and maintain strong long-term vendor partnerships.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper GL coding, three-way matching, invoice approval routing, and accurate documentation.
• Continuously evaluate purchasing patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline inventory tracking, and mitigate supply chain delays.
• Partner with department managers, hospitality operations, and project teams to anticipate material/supply needs and support ad-hoc construction or maintenance projects as needed.
• Participate in relevant meetings.
