Job summary

University of Washington in Seattle seeks a Program Operations Specialist for the Purchasing Team. This role supports daily purchasing transactions, SOP development, and system administration, reporting to Purchasing leadership. It is a hybrid role with three days remote per week.

You will coordinate workflows, train staff, and monitor purchasing activities while driving continuous improvement across DLMP operations. A bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of progressively responsible experience in Administrative or Procurement process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to lead meetings, present information, and analyze data.
• Experience building positive customer relationships and supporting continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve purchasing transactions to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
• Coordinate purchasing workflows and intake processes across departments.
• Administer purchasing systems and SOPs; train staff and end users.
• Lead process standardization and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Develop reports and dashboards to monitor purchasing workload and trends.
