Job summary

Rio Las Vegas seeks a Purchasing Operations Buyer to support daily operations by converting requisitions into purchase orders, securing confirmations, tracking deliveries and resolving routine issues within the Supply Chain Purchasing team.

You will work under a shared-duty model, maintain audit-ready records, follow established workflows in MMS/Stratton Warren, and coordinate with departments, suppliers and warehouse operations to ensure on-time, compliant purchasing.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in purchasing, procurement or supply-chain roles.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier communications and delivery tracking.
• Proficiency with purchasing controls, quotes and invoice reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary transactional purchasing contact for assigned operating departments and routine requirements.
• Translate department requirements into accurate purchase orders and clear supplier instructions.
• Maintain regular communication with internal customers regarding order status, risks, substitutions, delays and required decisions.
• Create, issue, revise and close purchase orders with established service levels.
• Obtain supplier confirmations and verify pricing, quantities, terms, lead times and delivery dates.
• Track open orders, expedite critical requirements and resolve backorders and discrepancies.
• Review usage, reorder points and upcoming demand with departments and inventory control.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations and prepare quote comparisons for review.
• Maintain current supplier contacts, order instructions and delivery requirements.
