Job summary

Stanton Millworks, a premier cabinetmaking and architectural woodworking shop in the tri-state area with 80 years of growth, seeks a Purchasing Manager who owns procurement, builds supplier relationships, and keeps projects moving.

You’ll coordinate with Estimating, Project Management, Engineering, Production, and Accounting to ensure on-time delivery, cost effective purchasing, and high-quality materials. This role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and impact on client success.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
• Experience with procurement software and inventory management.
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the purchasing process from purchase orders through delivery and project completion.
• Ensure materials are ordered accurately, cost-effectively, and on time.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing.
• Track lead times and material availability; expedite critical orders.
• Manage inventory levels and stock replenishment using purchasing software such as Kojo.
• Collaborate with Estimating, Project Management, Engineering, Production, Accounting, and Receiving.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor material pricing trends.
• Research and coordinate approved material substitutions when necessary.
• Facilitate reliable information flow between suppliers and project teams.
