Job summary

Bestmark National is seeking a full-time Purchaser based in Irvington, NJ. You will source materials, products, and services for millwork and construction projects, coordinating with management, estimators, production, and vendors to meet schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities include evaluating vendor quotations, processing orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure on-time project execution. Strong negotiation and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, or related role.
• Experience in millwork, construction, manufacturing, architectural woodworking, or related industry preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project requirements and purchase requests to determine needs.
• Source materials, hardware, and supplies for millwork and construction projects.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotations for pricing, lead time, and quality.
• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and per procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors on pricing, specs, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery per project schedules.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors.
• Identify upcoming material requirements and potential procurement delays.
• Suggest alternate products or suppliers to meet requirements or schedules.
• Review invoices for accuracy and communicate discrepancies.
