Evapco Dry Cooling, Inc. is expanding and seeks a full-time Purchasing / Logistics Coordinator in Bridgewater, NJ. You will support purchasing and logistics for equipment fabrication and construction contracts, coordinating with suppliers and the project team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to manage domestic and international shipments in a fast-paced global environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Purchasing and Logistics.
• Experience in Industrial, Power and Energy sectors preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure on-time shipments.
• Draft purchase orders and process invoices under supervision.
• Resolve supplier issues related to specs, timing, quality, quantity and delivery.
• Prepare shipping documents and provide shipping instructions.
• Monitor shipment progress and expediting performance with vendors.
• Maintain procurement and logistics activity databases; occasional travel.

Basic Job Functions:

Full-Time PURCHASING / LOGISTICS COORDINATOR will provide all administrative functions to support purchasing / logistics related activities for various equipment, fabrication and construction contracts in a project-oriented organization and update Project Team on progress.

Required Skills:

• Strong communicator with negotiation experience and excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills to maintain and grow business contacts with suppliers and freight forwarders
• Possess good computer skills and working knowledge of MS software tools
• Self-driven, analytical, results-oriented, a quick learner and a problem solver
• Team player able to handle a large volume of work in a dynamic, multi-culture fast paced environment with ability to prioritize tasks according to their urgency without sacrificing efficiency or quality
• Working knowledge of logistics, domestic and international

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders and job sites to coordinate deliveries, prepare inquiries, acquire quotes, compile bid tabs, verify accuracy, completeness and competitiveness of bids to inquiry requirements prior negotiating order placement
• Under general supervision, responsible for drafting purchase orders and invoice processing
• Resolving supplier related problems regarding specifications, timing, quality, quantity and delivery
• Prepare all necessary documents for shipping
• Provide shipping instructions and monitor shipment progress with freight forwarders and suppliers
• Expedite and monitor overall suppliers’ performance and facilitate the resolution of problems or disputes
• Develop and maintain database of procurement and logistics activities on commodities and services purchased
• Occasional travel, both domestic and international

Education & Experience:

• Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred (High School Diploma or equivalent required)
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Purchasing and Logistics (preferred in Industrial, Power and Energy Sector)
