EVAPCO, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering professional to prepare proposals, coordinate with aftermarket clients, and manage projects from setup to erection supervision.

The role collaborates with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to deliver high-quality thermal designs and equipment proposals. You will model performance using in-house software, perform hand calculations, and prepare reports for existing facilities.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in power/heavy industry
• PE or EIT certification
• Proficient in MS Outlook/Word/Excel/Project/PowerPoint
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment including fans, motors, gearboxes and vacuum equipment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with all disciplines
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, drawings, datasheets and contracts
• Self-starter and team player with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to manage field labor for safe on-site work

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Candidate will assume a wide range of responsibilities with broad exposure to multiple divisions of the Evapco business. Their primary responsibility is to prepare proposals, liaise with domestic aftermarket clients, support a comprehensive representative network and manage projects from setup to erection supervision. They will be expected to work with sales representatives, end-users, engineering, and proposals teams along with equipment manufacturers and partner contractors. Candidate will also be responsible for preparing performance reports on existing facilities, modeling performance of existing facilities using Evapco’s inhouse performance modeling software and hand calculations and preparing thermal designs and proposals for aftermarket inquiries and new equipment inquiries as needed. Effective and professional communication with EPC clients will be required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• BS in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in similar roles related to power and/or heavy industry
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment including fans, motors, gearboxes and vacuum equipment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all other disciplines
• Ability to understand and interpret operations manuals, drawings, equipment datasheets, contracts, etc.
• A self-starter, team player with discipline to work while traveling, has a practical and hands on approach and the ability to prioritize tasks according to their urgency to ensure and deadlines are met
• The ability to manage field labor for safe and efficient work on site

Preferred Skills:

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multitask, execute multiple simultaneous inquiries and make sound commercial decisions
• Proficient in CAD software
• A general understanding of power plant operations

Additional Notes:

• Maintain an acute focus on customer satisfaction and possess a proactive attitude in helping customers solve problems
• Communicate directly and effectively with engineering, procurement, and sales representatives
• Review Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Vendor Documentation (i.e. drawings, manuals, memos, functional descriptions, etc.) and schedules to help ensure Evapco’s scope of work is delivered on time
• Safety training and drug tests will be required for power plant access
• Work in both an office and site environment with varying degrees of noise, outdoors in all weathers, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffold, work at heights with stooping and bending

• Up to 50%
