Evapco Dry Cooling, Inc. in Bridgewater, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Purchaser. The role focuses on sourcing, supplier evaluation, RFQs, negotiations, and on-time delivery at competitive prices. Occasional travel to supplier facilities, domestic and international, may be required.

Candidate should have an Associate or bachelor's degree preferred and at least 5 years in purchasing within energy-related sectors. Employee-owned company with strong benefits and team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers.
• Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers.
• Compile bid tabs and verify competitiveness.
• Negotiate terms, price, delivery, and scope with suppliers.
• Prepare, review, and issue Purchase Orders.
• Expedite suppliers and monitor performance.
• Manage accounts payable and payments.
• Resolve supplier disputes and occasional travel for visits.
• Ensure procurement activities meet project requirements.

Basic Job Function:

Responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods/services in line with company needs, negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• To identify and evaluate suppliers
• Preparation and issuance of Request for Quotation (RFQ) to suppliers.
• Compile bid tabs and verify accuracy, completeness and competitiveness of supplier’s offerings to RFQ requirements.
• Negotiations of terms, price, delivery schedule, scope of supply and terms with the suppliers
• Preparation, review and issuance of Purchase Orders
• Expediting of suppliers, monitor supplier performance and track delivery of equipment and materials
• To manage accounts payable, review invoices, approve payments, and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Facilitating the resolution of disputes between the company and its suppliers
• Occasional travel to visit supplier’s facilities, both domestic and international.
• Handle paperwork, maintain records, and ensure all procurement activities comply with the project requirements and company standards
• Assist Procurement Department with financial planning, budgeting, and reporting

Education & Experience:

• Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred (High School Diploma or equivalent required)
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Purchasing supply chain or business (preferred in Oil & Gas, Industrial, Power and Energy Sector)
