About the Position

We are looking for a Purchasing/Inventory Specialist to be responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional image as part of the company team. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of lubricant products and their applications, experience with inventory management, and experience working with vendors on pricing, price negotiations and procurement.

You'll report to the Plant Manager at our Greenacres, WA location, focusing on these key responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee inventory management of all lubricant products with month end count, ordering, shipping, and receiving to other plants and non-local customers.


• Monitor Lube inventory levels using SQL Reports for all Western Plants.


• Place orders and coordinate shipping through our vendors, i.e., Mobil, VP, Coolants Plus for all Western Plants


• Responsible for working with Mobil and our internal team to maintain and keep current our Mobil Buyback account.


• Assist with Lube price increases, setting up new product item codes, and inventory/pricing controls.


• Smoothly answer and operate phone system, communicating with customers in a professional manner.


• Greet and assist walk-in customers or suppliers in a professional manner.


• Perform data entry of delivery tickets, work orders and other account information as needed.


• Perform various clerical functions to include copying, printing, filing, sending/receiving/distributing documents.


• Lead and participate in weekly Lube Team Meetings


• Responsible for keeping Mobil DPICM requirements current for all Western Plants


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft products, and the ability to learn new programs.


• Knowledge of lubricant products and applications highly desired.


• Experience with price negotiations/increases with vendors.


• Strong customer service experience.


• Ability to multi-task.


• Ability to problem solve to find the best rates/pricing.


• Ability to stay calm under pressure.


• Ability to sit for long periods.


• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.


• Work in moderate noise levels.


• Work with minimum supervision.
