Job summary

United Service Technologies, a Tech24 company, is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support purchasing, inventory and administrative functions for our commercial kitchen equipment repair operations.

The role involves ordering parts, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring smooth day-to-day procurement processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, team-focused, and able to follow established procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• MS Office Suite proficient; Excel skills required.
• Entry-level professional with attention to detail and team orientation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow established processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing commercial kitchen equipment parts, tools, and supplies
• Create, process, and track purchase orders
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status
• Track and follow up on open orders to ensure timely delivery
• Receive and verify incoming shipments; resolve discrepancies or damaged items
• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and vendor records
• Support inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reordering
• Coordinate with service technicians and operations staff to prioritize urgent parts needs
• Assist with vendor setup, documentation, and invoice reconciliation
• Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy
• Assist with general administrative duties as needed to support the company’s success
• Provide administrative support to other departments, including dispatching, estimates, and customer care
• Assist with special projects and operational tasks as assigned
