Lennar is offering a Purchasing Intern program across multiple U.S. divisions, beginning in the summer. You will gain hands-on experience with core purchasing systems, costs tracking, and vendor interactions at site communities.

The role supports material tracking, invoicing, and takeoffs while building knowledge in LEED, ADA, and buyer premium program requirements. A strong communicator with problem-solving mindset thrives here.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and May 2029.
• Majors include Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, Business or related field.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with core purchasing systems, including BuildPro; own live cost-tracking projects and help reconcile material and labor cost changes across active communities.
• Participate in trade negotiations, SOW reviews, and vendor meetings with senior purchasing leaders.
• Build compliance and specification packages covering LEED, ADA, and buyer premium program requirements.
• Learn to read site plans and perform simulated takeoffs (SIMs).
• Rotate through areas such as material tracking, invoicing, and ticketing systems with a purchasing mentor.

Lennar's Future Builders Program is designed for highly motivated early career professionals seeking to launch their careers. Participants will develop essential interpersonal and technical skills while working alongside seasoned professionals in a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture. Through structured onboarding, hands-on training, and professional development, Future Builders will contribute to impactful projects and gain deep exposure to key areas across Lennar. High-performing participants may have the opportunity to transition into our recent college graduate (RCG) program or other entry-level roles after the summer. The Construction track is a 10-weeklong program during the summer that prepares participants for careers in core business operations. The start date for the program will be June 2027.

• Build compliance and specification packages covering LEED, ADA, and buyer premium program requirements.
• Learn to read site plans and perform simulated takeoffs (SIMs), a specialized homebuilding skill.
• Partner with a purchasing mentor and rotate through areas such as material tracking, invoicing, and ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
• Majoring in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regular community and construction site visits.
• Curious, proactive, and comfortable asking questions to learn and grow.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to engage in real business discussions.
• Positive, adaptable mindset with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
