This Spring/Summer 2027 internship starts soon and offers exposure to RFQs, BOM updates, and SAP workflows. The role offers hands-on experience with supplier visits, EDI, supplier portals, and digital tools to improve purchasing

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Economics, Logistics, or related field.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.

Responsibilities

• Support commodity managers with negotiations, supplier selection, pricing, forecasts, and performance management.
• Learn how component pricing connects to standard cost, EAC, and broader financial decisions.
• Take ownership of certain suppliers and actively manage their pricing with mentorship.
• Visit suppliers to understand their manufacturing processes, capabilities, capacity, and potential constraints.
• Work with tactical buyers to understand how purchased components flow into the manufacturing plant, including work in SAP.
• Help coordinate part-number changes, cut-ins, and Bill of Material (BOM) updates.
• Manage EDI, supplier-portal forecasts, and coordinated communications to suppliers regarding forecast changes, deadlines, and updates.
