Job summary

Benshaw is seeking a qualified Purchasing Specialist to manage purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to meet production schedules at our Pittsburgh facility. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely communication, and collaboration with internal teams to resolve supply issues.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years in purchasing or supply chain, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work with ERP systems. On-site work with standard weekday hours supports steady operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Issue and manage purchase orders aligned with production schedules.
• Communicate with suppliers about orders, delivery dates, and issues.
• Monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Support supplier data entry in the IFS ERP system.
• Assist in reviewing RFQ packages and gathering quotes.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Receiving to resolve issues.
• Identify alternate suppliers when lead times are at risk.
• Maintain purchasing records and documentation.
