Job summary

William Ryan Homes Tampa is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our Purchasing team by maintaining accurate product, pricing, vendor, and purchase order data. This role helps keep purchasing processes organized and moving by coordinating information between internal departments, vendors, and construction teams.

You will prepare and review lot-specific POs, update pricing in our systems, and generate reports on costs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience in purchasing, estimating, construction administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with purchasing software, ERP systems, or homebuilding systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain lot-specific purchase orders and purchasing information.
• Enter and update vendor pricing, product options, sales pricing, and cost data in company systems.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Construction, Sales, Accounting, and vendors to keep information accurate and current.
• Maintain purchasing documents, specifications, pricing worksheets, and related records.
• Assist with bid administration, vendor documentation, and contract processing.
• Research and help resolve purchasing, cost, vendor, and invoice discrepancies.
• Generate and review reports related to purchasing, job costs, cycle times, and purchasing performance.
• Support onboarding and administrative processes for vendors and internal teams as needed.
• Help ensure purchasing data, budgets, and system information are complete and accurate.
