Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support procurement in a manufacturing environment, ensuring timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, vendor relationships, tracking deliveries, and supporting inventory and production.

The role requires 2+ years in purchasing, experience with ERP/MRP (Dynamics 365 preferred, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards), strong organization and communication, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience (manufacturing environment strongly preferred).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and track purchase orders in alignment with production schedules and inventory requirements.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor order status and proactively follow up on delayed or back-ordered items.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP systems.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and inventory teams to ensure material availability.
• Resolve discrepancies related to invoices, shipments, and receiving issues by obtaining PODs or requesting credits.
• Monitor and maintain supplier records, primary suppliers, and lead time in the ERP system.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve any vendor invoice discrepancies.

This role is responsible for processing purchase orders, maintaining vendor relationships, tracking deliveries, and supporting inventory and production needs to ensure uninterrupted operations.Pay range: $30.00 - $32.50 (Based on experience)II.
