Job summary

Wastequip Manufacturing Company LLC in Erial, NJ, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the plant's manufacturing and assembly operations, ensuring outputs meet budget and schedule. You will develop KPIs, hire and train team members, create daily production schedules, track performance against plan, and drive continuous improvement in quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong communication, safety leadership, and the ability to coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and sales

Responsibilities

• Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which each department’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates process flows within each department and coordinating functional areas.
• Implements and maintains inventory control metrics, cycle count tracking, as well as disposition of drop material and scrap.
• Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day production.
• Owns production schedule coordinating efforts between engineering and purchasing, and communication with sales.
• Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.
• Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to team and supervisors.
• Monitors production and resolves issues as they arise, reporting metrics weekly to the management team.
• Improves customer service and satisfaction through quality and on time delivery.
• Leads coordination and integration of efforts among production control, purchasing, engineering, technology, and customer service to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
• Sets direction and produces plans to meet division goals.
• Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
