Job summary

The Purchasing Coordinator at Wastequip supports the procurement function within a manufacturing environment, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience (manufacturing environment strongly preferred).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Understanding of inventory control and production planning concepts.
• Basic negotiation skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and track purchase orders in alignment with production schedules and inventory requirements
• Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
• Monitor order status and proactively follow up on delayed or back-ordered items
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP systems
• Collaborate with production, planning, and inventory teams to ensure material availability
• Resolve discrepancies related to invoices, shipments, and receiving issues by obtaining POD’s as required or requesting credit and rebills for incorrect pricing.
• Monitor and maintain supplier records, primary suppliers, and lead time in the ERP system.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve any vendor invoice related discrepancies.
• Maintain good vendor relationships through professional communications
• Maintain documentation and records for audit and reporting purposes
• Other applicable duties as assigned

This role is responsible for processing purchase orders, maintaining vendor relationships, tracking deliveries, and supporting inventory and production needs to ensure uninterrupted operations. Pay range: $30.00 - $32.50 (Based on experience)

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, process, and track purchase orders in alignment with production schedules and inventory requirements
• Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
• Monitor order status and proactively follow up on delayed or back-ordered items
