Job description

Tactical Operations Coordinator

Working cross-functionally with Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Containerization, Logistics, and assembly/manufacturing plants to facilitate critical supply issues and business transfers. This group addresses short-term capacity issues caused by broken tools or equipment, fires, floods, and other supplier shortage issues.

Responsibilities:

1. Support and lead conference calls regarding business transfers and critical supply issues.
2. Act as liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and suppliers to resolve issues and provide technical support.
3. Identify causes of supplier delivery problems and coordinate effective, timely resolutions.
4. Assist in developing and implementing corrective actions for critical issues.
5. Improve supplier delivery performance by identifying process improvements and lead time reduction opportunities.
6. Participate as a member or resource in product development teams.
7. Regularly exchange information with internal teams and suppliers.
8. Collaborate with the Supplier Risk Management team on financially troubled suppliers.
9. Keep management updated frequently, based on issue urgency.
10. Travel up to 75%+ as required.
11. Provide executive reports as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2+ years of relevant post-graduate experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics, or product development.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, throughput, and program management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
