Job summary

M/I Homes Southwest Florida division seeks a driven Purchasing Coordinator to manage division purchasing, pricing data, and vendor communications. The role supports budgeting and data integrity across the construction process.

In this position, you will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure timely bids, accurate pricing, and efficient data workflows in JD Edwards, contributing to overall project profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• General office and administrative work supporting the purchasing process.
• Customer-service oriented with professional and courteous attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication for cross-functional interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support for purchasing, including data entry and report preparation.
• Process subcontractor bids and analyze monthly cost changes to support pricing and budgets.
• Maintain vendor pricing and records; update takeoffs from blueprints and bids.
• Assist with questions to the Purchasing Department and mediate day-to-day issues with Trade Partners, Supervisors, and Sales team.
• Project time frames for vendor transitions and maintain efficient costing data structures.
• Support the Purchasing Manager in defining bid criteria and input formats into the JD Edwards system.
• Review and update option sales prices to maintain margins; compile vendor cost comparisons.
