Job summary

M/I Homes Southwest Florida is seeking a Purchasing Division Administrator to coordinate division purchasing and pricing information management, ensuring data integrity and smooth vendor interactions. The role focuses on supporting budgets, bids, and cost control across the Southwest Florida division.

Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), strong admin skills, data entry experience, and familiarity with Oracle JD Edwards.

Qualifications

• General office and administrative capabilities to support departmental workflow
• Customer-service oriented with professional attitude
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Data entry, accounts payable, and database maintenance experience preferred
• Understanding of estimating and spreadsheet software

Responsibilities

• Coordinates division purchasing and pricing information management processes
• Processes subcontractor bids and maintains pricing and housing budgets
• Maintains vendor pricing records and data integrity
• Enters takeoffs from blueprints and bids
• Interfaces with Trade Partners, Construction Supervisors, and Sales Team to resolve issues
• Manages vendor transition timelines and data structure for costing
• Works with Purchasing Manager on bid criteria and vendor quote input
• Updates option sales prices to maintain margins
• Assists in cost comparisons for pricing negotiations
• Performs additional tasks as requested by the Purchasing Manager
