Job summary

M/I Homes, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing/Estimating professional in Orlando to manage subcontractor price negotiations, contracts and cost controls across divisions.

Responsibilities include preparing bids, maintaining scopes of work, negotiating terms, and supporting budgeting and vendor management. This role requires strong knowledge of construction costs and ERP systems, with an emphasis on accuracy and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or construction management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in purchasing and/or estimating developing accurate construction estimates and negotiating material and labor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and prepare contracts for material and labor purchases.
• Prepare bid packages, collect pricing, maintain scopes of work and budgets.
• Assist with trade management and vendor contracting and service/quality coordination.
