Job summary

Farm & Home Supply is seeking a Purchasing Support Associate to assist Purchasing Agents with vendor relationships, item entry, ad coordination, and reporting. You will help coordinate follow-ups, tests for EDI ordering, and provide administrative support to meet departmental purchasing goals.

The role requires strong Excel and MS Office skills, attention to detail, and good communication. Retail experience is a plus, with travel for trade shows up to twice yearly and a weight lifting

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office and excellent organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry and strong mathematical/analytical skills and good communication.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Enter new items into the system and monitor data accuracy.
• Create and test EDI ordering processes for vendors.
• Review ad positions to ensure timely in-store ad orders and updates.
• Record ad results after events and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Update vendor and product information as directed by Purchasing Agent.
• Generate routine reports and assist with store/product resets as needed.
