Job summary

Weimer Bearing & Transmission in Wisconsin is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to help keep our procurement operations running smoothly. You will place PO with vendors, track orders, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus strong organization and communication skills to keep records accurate and processes moving forward.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Dependable with proactive task completion.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders with vendors.
• Confirm receipt of PO with vendors.
• Review and follow up on PO confirmations.
• Track shipments and manage outstanding orders.
• Generate PO reports in ERP.
• Investigate pricing and shipping discrepancies.
• Process RMAs.
• Maintain accurate records and files.
• Assist with additional purchasing tasks.
