Job summary

Invitation Homes Inc. is seeking a detail-minded Purchasing Assistant to support the purchasing and construction teams. You will manage vendor packets, coordinate pricing, and maintain up-to-date project/vendor records while handling routine purchasing with managerial approval.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years in purchasing within construction or a related field, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years in purchasing in construction or related fields.
• Purchasing experience preferred; ability to manage vendor packets and pricing changes.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vendor packets and qualifications.
• Request pricing and update price changes; revise features lists.
• Update project vendor lists and keep plans current.
• Create project/product binders and coordinate vendor paperwork.
• Process purchase orders, change orders, and notices to proceed.
• Investigate invoice or PO issues; answer calls and direct as needed.
• Make purchases with management approval; conduct monthly office inventory.
