Job summary

Invitation Homes is seeking a Purchasing Assistant-ResiBuilt to support the purchasing and construction departments and handle general office tasks. The role reports to the Purchasing Manager and emphasizes vendor coordination, price requests, and paperwork processing.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years in purchasing, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Some overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience working as a purchasing assistant or similar role within the construction or relatable industry.
• Purchasing experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing environment and handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vendor packets and qualifications.
• Requests for pricing and loading price changes.
• Revising/updating features lists.
• Updating projects vendor lists.
• Keeping all plans updated.
• Creating new project and/or product binders.
• Coordinate all paperwork for vendors.
• Process purchase orders, change orders and notices to proceed.
• Research invoice or purchase order issues as needed.
• Answer incoming calls and direct where appropriate.
• Make all company purchases with approval from management.
• Conduct an office supply inventory monthly and order as needed.

• Maintain vendor packets and qualifications
• Requests for pricing and loading price changes
• Revising/updating features lists
• Updating projects vendor lists
• Keeping all plans updated
• Creating new project and/or product binders
• Coordinate all paperwork for vendors
• Process purchase orders, change orders and notices to proceed

• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience working as a purchasing assistant or similar role within the construction or relatable industry

Physical and Mental Demands

This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. Salary Range
