Lidl US is seeking a Junior Buyer (Internal: Assistant Category Manager) to join our Buying team. If you are passionate about what goes into a shopping cart and enjoy analysis, you will learn to negotiate, analyze, and innovate with Senior Category Managers on national and international projects.

This fast-paced role requires strong communication, multitasking, and a drive to grow. You'll build category analyses, support product development, and contribute to competitive pricing while gaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Retail, or related field.
• 0–2 years of related experience; or 4+ years if no degree.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects, work processes, systems, and procedures for efficient workflow.
• Update guidelines, SOPs, and instructional materials.
• Identify, develop, and propose opportunities for business and process improvement.
• Support national and international projects, producing business requirements and tests.
• Analyze KPIs with Category Managers to drive informed buying decisions.
• Support product development and negotiate across national and international suppliers.
