Job description

Job Title: Purchasing Agent at Mungo Homes

Join to apply for the Purchasing Agent role at Mungo Homes.

Location: Raleigh, NC

Position Overview: This position is responsible for complete cost management support of assigned profit centers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Cultivate new potential trade partners and maintain existing trade relationships.
2. Review purchase orders (POs) within 72 hours of notification from operations.
3. Generate purchase orders for new starts.
4. Review POs and start sheets for accuracy.
5. Review plot plans and marked plans for accuracy (optional but best practice).
6. Correct issues before job release.
7. Research and resolve vendor disputes, including product or pricing issues, and invoice and contract discrepancies.
8. Manage all contract documents, including preparation for bid processes; verify accuracy and completeness.
9. Coordinate bid processes for new subdivisions, including developing bid packages and reviewing bids.
10. Assist in base cost and option price analysis, especially in new communities.
11. Review plans, scopes of work, and specifications for accuracy.
12. Re-bid contracts with vendors when pricing expires or increases are requested.
13. Handle special projects and assignments.
14. Bid on new plans, options, and plan changes; review bids for accuracy and record in KOVA.
15. Manage change order job revisions.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; five or more years of related experience in residential construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Previous KOVA experience preferred but not required.
