Job summary

CFS in Portland, OR is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join a long-tenured, growth-minded team. You will manage non-stock purchasing, monitor pricing, and support ERP-driven inventory processes onsite in NW Portland.

This role offers a hands-on environment with exposure to vendor relations, cycle counts, and cross-functional collaboration with warehouse, sales, and operations to ensure inventory availability.

Onsite, 5 days a week, competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP systems, inventory data, or operational reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior purchasing or inventory control experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage non-stock purchasing activities and ensure purchase order accuracy.
• Maintain and update pricing, vendor information, and inventory data within the ERP system.
• Analyze inventory reports and support cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Coordinate vendor returns and resolve purchasing, receiving, and invoicing discrepancies.
• Identify and implement process improvements within procurement operations.
• Partner with warehouse, sales, and operations teams to support inventory availability and customer needs.
