Job summary

RLC Electronic Systems is seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Agent to join our electronics manufacturing team. You will manage procurement, optimize inventory, and ensure timely material acquisition to support production and cost savings.

The role emphasizes collaboration across planning, manufacturing, and warehouse teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and lean initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Part-time 20–30 hours per week and a flexible schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement/purchasing within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of demand planning, production planning, logistics inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets using Excel and SQL for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes utilizing SAP ERP system to ensure timely sourcing of materials and services.
• Collaborate with production planning, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to align purchasing activities with demand forecasts and inventory requirements.
• Conduct data analysis using Excel and SQL to monitor supplier performance, analyze procurement trends, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Coordinate logistics and inventory management efforts to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize excess stock.
• Lead supply chain planning initiatives by integrating demand forecasting with procurement strategies to support manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and performance evaluation.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on lean manufacturing principles, process automation, and operational excellence.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to develop strategies that enhance overall supply chain management and plant operations.
