Job Title: Purchasing Agent
Location: Elkridge, MD
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 (based on experience)
Work Setting: 100% In-Office

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our client's team in Elkridge, MD in a purchasing and procurement capacity. This position is responsible for managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, and ensuring inventory levels are maintained efficiently.

Full-time, direct hire opportunity, salary based upon experience

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Place and track daily purchase orders.
• Resolve issues related to pricing, shipping, and product discrepancies.
• Evaluate suppliers based on cost, reliability, and service.
• Maintain and monitor inventory levels across multiple locations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and logistics with vendors and freight companies.
• Update internal systems with pricing and supplier data.
• Generate purchasing reports and assist with inventory planning.
• Support internal teams with pricing updates and order information.
• Participate in vendor meetings, trade shows, and occasional travel.
• Assist with general customer service and order entry when needed.
• Perform additional duties as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
