Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage requisitions, issue POs, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery. You will identify inventory opportunities, research suppliers, and monitor orders while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

The role requires 2+ years in purchasing, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to juggle multiple POs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions to verify accuracy, specifications, quantities, and required delivery dates.
• Identify available inventory and coordinate internal stock transfers when applicable.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders based on approved requisitions, pricing, specifications, and supplier recommendations.
• Research suppliers, obtain quotes, compare pricing, and assist with vendor selection.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and communicate regularly regarding orders, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor open purchase orders and proactively expedite or resolve delayed shipments.
• Verify received materials against purchase orders and packing documentation.
• Research and resolve discrepancies, shortages, damaged goods, and incorrect shipments with vendors.
• Submit receiving documentation and supporting information for invoice/payment processing.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor information, and documentation.
• Assist with purchasing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing purchasing activity, costs, and trends.
• Collaborate with inventory, operations, accounting, and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Help identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, pricing, and supplier performance.
