Purchasing Agent – Residential Construction/Bid Management/Vendor Relations

Location: Raleigh, NC (Confidential Client)

Pay: $80-$100K

Schedule: Full-time, On-site

Our client is a well-established and privately held residential homebuilder with a strong presence across the Southeast. Known for their quality craftsmanship, long-standing trade partnerships, and family-oriented culture, they continue to expand and invest in top talent across all departments.

They are looking for you, an experienced Purchasing Agent with strong vendor management skills and a background in residential construction. This is a direct hire opportunity supporting cost management and purchasing operations in a growing market.

What You Get To Do

1. Generate and review purchase orders and start packages for new home construction
2. Cultivate new trade relationships and maintain existing vendor partnerships
3. Coordinate bids for new subdivisions, plans, and options
4. Review and resolve vendor disputes and pricing discrepancies
5. Analyze base and option pricing for new communities
6. Manage contract documents and support KOVA system updates
7. Conduct re-bids, manage cost updates, and support ongoing purchasing initiatives

What You Need To Succeed

1. Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
2. 5+ years of purchasing experience in residential construction
3. Strong attention to detail and understanding of scopes-of-work, bid analysis, and contract management
4. Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook)
5. Previous experience with KOVA preferred, but not required
