Responsibilities include supplier selection, contract negotiation, purchase orders, tracking deliveries, budgeting, and continuous process improvement. Travel is required as part of the role.

Job Description

The Purchaser will play a critical role in keeping things moving in a dynamic time critical environment. This is a hands-on role that requires a quick learner, who is a creative problem solver, skilled negotiator, expert communicator and whose attention to detail is second to none. The ideal candidate is conscientious, proactive, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments such as international motorsport.

• Responsible for sourcing and purchasing parts, materials and services required by the team, ensuring these meet quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Work with the team to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for racing parts, materials, and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance, and resolving any issues/discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in negotiating contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the business.
• Prepare and raise purchase orders, track the order progress, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support budget planning, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the purchasing processes, identifying best practices, and implementing innovative solutions that align with the team and financial goals and parameters
