Job summary

Hastings ISD 200 is seeking a Pupil Support Assistant (PSA) for HHS Track & Field. The role focuses on maximizing the learning experience for a student with special needs during high school track activities.

Approximately two hours per day, Monday through Saturday as needed. The position runs from 9/3/2026 to 10/21/2026, with duties including behavior reinforcement, social/emotional support, and supervision at practices and events.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following requirements: two years of qualifying college credits, an associate or higher degree with qualifying coursework, or a passing score on a valid assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead staff in providing behavior reinforcement and managing students' needs during Track & Field practices and events.
• Assist and support interpersonal skills and activities, daily living needs and social/emotional needs for student.
• Be flexible with schedules.
• Supervise and assist student during arrival/departure from Track & Field practices and events.

Position Purpose

PSA will assistin maximizing the learning experience of children with special needs during their participation with High School Track & Field

Hours:

• Approximately two hours per day, Monday through Saturday and meets if student participates
• Position begins 9/3/2026 - 10/21/2026

Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist lead staff in providing behavior reinforcement and managing student'sneeds while at Track & Field practices and events
• Assist and supportinterpersonal skills and activities, daily living needs and social/emotional needs for student
• Ability to be flexible with schedules.
• Supervising and assisting student duringarrival/departure from Track & Field practices and events

Qualifications:

• Must meet one of the following requirements:
  • at least two years of qualifying college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota) through an accredited institution of higher education, or;
  • an associates or higher degree, with qualifying course work, or;
  • a passing score on a valid and reliable formal assessment.
• Ability to follow program direction as provided by program coordinador.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in weightand support students with activities of daily living
• Ability to demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance
• Starting Rate of Pay $19.40 per hour if non-contracted ( less than 11 hours per week )
