Job summary

Seats Incorporated is hiring a Punch Press Operator in Iowa. You will operate metal stamping presses to bend and punch steel parts for our seating products, with a +$1.00/hr shift differential. Starting wage is $21.30+ per hour.

You will read blueprints and setup dies, perform quality checks with gauges, and follow precise work instructions. There is opportunity for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with aptitude for mechanical tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints (preferred).
• Ability to read and follow work instructions precisely.
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to read gauges and other measurement tools to ensure tolerances.
• Working knowledge of metal materials.
• Material movement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch presses to bend and punch steel parts.
• Set dies in presses per setup instructions.
• Quality check parts using measuring devices and fixtures.
• Read measuring devices such as tape measure, protractor, caliper, scale.
• Follow work instructions and rotate across stations as needed.
• Maintain attendance and safety with lifting up to 50 lbs.

Punch Press Operators will operate various metal stamp presses to bend and punch steel parts used in our custom seating products. (This position comes with a +$1.00/hr. Shift Differential!)
